I am reviewing the novel Masters Of War by Chris Ryan which is an excellent SAS thriller which I bought from a local supermarket. This novel which has only just been released is quite topical in that it is centred around the civil war in Syria. Chris was in this country in during the First Gulf War and knows what a dangerous place it is/5. Yes, Masters on War is an academic book, while military history & strategy enthusiast should still find many topics interesting. The hypothesis of the author is that the basic logic of strategy is universal/5. I’m certainly not recommending every book about war ever written, or even every book I’ve read on the subject, but instead a collection of the most meaningful.
